Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream Review (+ Photos!)

Haven't blogged in almost a month oops! Not an excuse but I have been pretty busy the past few weeks, and tbh not much to blog about too. Anyway! Wanted to do a mini review on this foundation/ CC cream I've been using but I wanted to test it for longer so I could give a more informed review B-)

I previously used Bourjois' Healthy Mix Serum Foundation which I LOVEEE. Super smooth and glides on so well, plus it feels really light on the skin. And shade 51 was a perfect match for me! But after going through 1.5 bottles of it (previously used shade 52 but I got too fair for it) I wanted to try something new. Was considering to go for Tarte's Amazonian Clay Foundation after reading good things about it, but I really wanted something a little less coverage-y. I actually chose Healthy Mix after hearing Estee from Essie Button rave about it so I went back to see what newer foundations she recommended and I found this gem!

Bought the Bourjois CC Cream from John Little for about $25, but you can find Bourjois at most departmental stores (BHG always has 20% off!!) and selected Watsons.

This foundation boasts that it has all 3 pigments for colour correction - I've seen brands roll out 3 separate concealers/ foundations with one special pigment each to cross out the problem areas but this one has all 3! On top of that, it promises 24hr hydration - not that I plan to actually wear it that long - as well as SPF 15.

The bottle is actually quite small, but from my past experience using Healthy Mix, a little bit goes a long way. Not a huge fan of the squeezy bottle cos it feels less substantial and a little cheap, but it is mess free and hygienic compared to those that requires you to pour it out.

Healthy Mix on the other hand was in a pretty glass bottle with a pump! It is slightly more expensive at $34 a bottle, but definitely worth it.

So how did the CC Cream fare?

Here're some unedited pictures of me ONLY wearing the CC Cream:

Surprisingly, my terrible eyebags are less terrible, and *gasp* almost concealed! As you can see, the coverage is very good but not thick at all (you can still see my mole!). Skin colour is evened out and is now a great base for the rest of my make up. The colour No. 31 Ivory is also a fantastic match for my skin - a tad too light but it works out fine.

With the rest of my make-up:

To be honest when I first started using it, I found myself preferring Healthy Mix because it was lighter and less 'sticky'. But over time, I've fallen in love with this! Healthy Mix is more matte, but 123 Perfect does have a slightly dewy finish which I love. I feel that the coverage is similar to Laneige's BB Cushion but less thick - and the BB Cushion also makes my skin weird and flaky so I rarely use it :( One more thing is that Healthy Mix only has 3 shades, while I saw at least 6-7 for 123 Perfect.

However, I don't really see the 3 pigments working? I think it's a great foundation but not sure if the 3 pigments is just a gimmick. Also, I read somewhere that although it has SPF 15 only contains UVB and not UVA, so it's not the best for outdoorsy stuff!

On the whole, this CC Cream does live up to it's hype, and definitely holds it's own up next to Healthy Mix! Price is affordable as well, and worth it for a product this good. I've heard positive things about the eye concealer as well, but I'm very much attached to my Canmake one... maybe soon? :-)

Until next time!
